What was originally a human P03 design became its own thing due to me liking the design too much. Hopefully the inscryption crowd will still like my ‘grumpy Iranian lad’ design xD

Vent artwork based on a especially awful breakdown I had about a month ago, where I was screaming and crying and tearing my hair out. I have been doing much better now and this was made right after said breakdown before next day realising it came from PMDD, but hopefully you may find it cathartic to view as it was cathartic for me to make!
Above lines there are from a Giles Corey track, its really cathartic music to listen to when I’m feeling awful and want to hear how awful I feel to feel less alone! Here’s to being mentally ill ayooooooo

Something personal.
I don’t talk much about it, but I had went through a lot of abuse in my life, I prefer to not go into detail of it in a public post on social media, but there’s one thing I want to express with it…
I’ve forgotten a lot of the details of those traumas, in some ways that’s a blessing, but it often ends up with me not knowing why something is triggering me or why I feel tense around anything that is reminding me of those events. It’s frustrating! Feeling as if something is out to get you any second when you don’t even know why. I am often asked why I still hold onto the ‘past’ so much and why I often avoid the things that remind me of those traumas, believe me when I say no one is more frustrated with that than myself! If it were up to me I’d press a button to put those traumas at rest and so I no longer have triggers, but its not possible without a lot of work! Even to those who had hurt me when we were younger and have now since grown and become better people, I still often would rather keep interactions dim, I physically cannot feel safe being near them, and its not out of any spite, but rather… my mind may have forgotten, but my body still remembers, so it reacts in such.
The creature here, is named Varos, its a new ventsona I made to express issues in intimacy, trust, and communication, most art with it is too personal and explicit to show, but you’ll see it around.

SO, I saw one design from Hazbin Hotel that had a concept I really love (SCENE DINOSAUR DEMON, LIKE HELLO??) but the execution was… ehhh not the best imo, all the colours hurted my eyes and the design felt incredibly messy, so for fun I did this redesign!

Bojack Horseman species swaps for fun! I finished watching the series a while back and, gosh ;_; it hit me many times due to having a lot of similar existential fears as the show depicts, but it was a fantastic show that made me laugh and cry. Thank you sad horse show for existing and being so cathartic to watch!

This was a fun digital painting experiment, I love Dragan Bibin’s works and how he is able to portray unsettling horror in the uncanny environment of one’s home that feels almost like a dream you can’t recall. I was also inspired by the song ‘I Saw The Dead’ by The Villagers, its probably the closest thing to a ‘backstory’ this could have.
What is younger teen Grigory doing here? Honestly I’m not sure, maybe you caught him just as he was about to go meet some of his ghost friends, maybe he’s leading you somewhere to meet these ‘dead’, either way, its a unsettling encounter.

Edwin had a weird backstory where he was originally Harold the Helicopter from Thomas The Tank Engine (cuz I hyperfixated hard on that show as a kid) that went through the cosmic horrors and was morphed and transformed into a shifting mass of gibbering insanity, then he got therapy and got better and now has his own therapy service and gave birth to his kid Elliot like a amoeba. Never thought of much for Elliot, he was just more a goofy younger brother figure to me that I would play with.
I was… a weird and sad kid lol.
Looking at them again though, they give me some of that old edgy 2000s emo/goth/scene vibe, y'know the type? Like Pom and Zi and JtHM. Maybe its cuz I’ve been kinda into that style lately and was heavily inspired by it as a kid, but there’s a bit of a reminiscence there, I think!
